In the sector since the 1970s
Born from sector experience dating back to the 1970s, Rumet started as a company operating in the recovery of non-ferrous metals. Its entire operational base was confined to a building on Via Monte Pasubio in Castenedolo — today the section of the warehouse housing offices and part of the storage area — before expanding into two further buildings with offices, one of which has just been rebuilt.
Growth beyond national borders
Over the years Rumet’s pool of suppliers has been meticulously selected and has grown considerably in number, allowing us to supply an equally selected and ever-wider customer base. All without compromising on the quality of service offered, dealing with customers and suppliers not only in Italy but throughout Europe, Africa and South-East Asia.
Expansion of the premises
The company’s development has led, over the past 10 years, to an extension of the facilities, which now also include all the warehouses adjacent to the original site, with offices and two storage facilities totalling more than 4,000 square metres.
An ever-wider catalogue
This natural evolution of the company’s core business has led us to handle an increasingly broad range of non-ferrous materials and metal alloys. Today our catalogue of traded metals covers every type of metal except iron and aluminium.
In-house processing and treatments
In order to bring ever more stages of material processing in-house and offer a fast, efficient service, Rumet is constantly investing in its machinery, which today includes: 4 material handlers, 1 baling press, 1 screening machine, 2 portals to check the radioactivity of materials and 1 weighbridge.
